Safety first: Disconnect power before inspection.

Step 1 – Check door movement: Open and close the door several times. Ensure it closes fully and the latch clicks. Look for any resistance or binding.
Step 2 – Inspect door switches (qualified persons): Remove the control panel and access the door switch cluster. Check that the actuators move freely and are not jammed.
Step 3 – Test switches: With a multimeter, test each door switch for proper open/closed operation. Replace any switch that reads shorted in both positions or does not change state.
Step 4 – Check wiring: Inspect the harness from the switches to the control board for pinched or melted insulation.
Step 5 – Control board check: If switches and wiring are good, the control board door input circuit may be defective and require replacement.

Warning: Do not bypass door switches; this is unsafe and violates safety standards.

Microwave shows E11 and the interior light stays on even when the door is closed; unit may not start.
