How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing covers.
- Step 1 – Clean cavity: Wipe down the interior of the Thermador microwave, especially near the humidity sensor opening (often on the top or side wall). Remove grease and food splatter.
- Step 2 – Allow to dry: Leave the door open for several hours to allow moisture to evaporate from the sensor area.
- Step 3 – Reset power: Unplug or switch off the breaker for 5 minutes, then restore power and test a sensor-cook program.
- Step 4 – Inspect sensor (qualified persons): Remove the outer cover and locate the humidity sensor module. Check the wiring harness and connector for secure fit.
- Step 5 – Replace sensor: If E13 persists, replace the humidity sensor with a Thermador-compatible part.
Note: Avoid covering the sensor area with plastic wrap or foil during cooking, as this can cause false readings and errors.
