How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the control panel.
- Step 1 – Check for child lock: Ensure the control lock is not enabled per the user manual.
- Step 2 – Clean surface: Wipe the keypad gently with a slightly damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Do not spray cleaner directly on the panel.
- Step 3 – Reseat ribbon cable (qualified persons): Remove the control panel and carefully disconnect and reconnect the flat ribbon cable from the keypad to the control board.
- Step 4 – Test keys: After reassembly, test all keys. If some areas still do not respond, the membrane keypad is likely failing.
- Step 5 – Replace keypad/UI: Install a new Thermador keypad or complete control panel assembly as required.
Note: Excessive force or sharp objects can damage the membrane; use gentle finger pressure only.
