Microwave makes a rattling or vibrating noise, especially when the fan is running.

Safety first: Disconnect power before tightening screws or moving the unit.

• Step 1 – Remove items: Clear any objects from the top of the Thermador microwave and nearby surfaces that may rattle.
• Step 2 – Check installation: For built-in or OTR models, verify that mounting brackets and screws are tight and that the unit is level.
• Step 3 – Inspect internal components (qualified persons): Remove the cover and check that the fan housing, ductwork, and transformer are securely fastened.
• Step 4 – Balance load: Ensure dishes are centered on the turntable and not contacting the cavity walls.
• Step 5 – Add padding where appropriate: Use manufacturer-approved anti-vibration pads or washers on mounting points if needed.

Note: Some fan noise is normal, but loud rattling indicates something is loose.
