How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Danger: This is a serious safety issue. Immediately disconnect power at the breaker or unplug the Thermador microwave.

Step 1 – Do not use the unit: Do not attempt further operation until the fault is corrected.
Step 2 – Inspect door switches (qualified persons): Remove the control panel and check that all door switches are correctly wired and mounted. Look for signs of tampering or bypass.
Step 3 – Test switches: Use a multimeter to verify that each switch opens and closes correctly with door movement.
Step 4 – Check control board: If switches are correct, inspect the control board for a stuck relay or shorted components.
Step 5 – Professional repair: Due to radiation safety concerns, have a Thermador-authorized technician repair and test the interlock system.

Warning: Never bypass or jumper door switches to keep the unit running.

Microwave runs with the door open or starts as soon as the door is closed without pressing Start.
