Microwave sensor cooking programs end too early or overcook food.

Safety first: Allow hot steam to escape before cleaning the interior.

• Step 1 – Clean interior: Thoroughly clean the Thermador microwave cavity, especially around the humidity sensor opening, to remove grease and residue.
• Step 2 – Use proper containers: Use microwave-safe, vented covers rather than tightly sealed lids to allow steam to reach the sensor.
• Step 3 – Reset control: Disconnect power for 5 minutes to reset sensor algorithms.
• Step 4 – Test with recommended foods: Use sensor programs with foods specified in the manual to evaluate performance.
• Step 5 – Replace sensor (qualified persons): If sensor cooking remains inaccurate, replace the humidity sensor module.

Note: Sensor cooking relies on steam; very small portions or very dry foods may not work well in sensor modes.
