Possible Causes
New cavity paint curing, protective oils on heating elements (for grill models), plastic components heating for first time
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Ensure good ventilation during initial use.
Steps:
- 1. Initial burn-in: Wipe the interior with a damp cloth and mild detergent, then dry.
- 2. Ventilate: Run the microwave empty (or with a cup of water) on high power for 5–10 minutes with a window open. For grill models, run the grill function as recommended in the Tower manual.
- 3. Repeat if needed: Odor should diminish after a few uses. If it persists or worsens, stop using and have the unit inspected.
