How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect power before removing covers.

Clean interior: Thoroughly clean the interior ceiling and side walls of the Viking microwave, especially near the sensor opening, to remove grease and residue.
Dry out cavity: Leave the door open for several hours to allow moisture to dissipate.
Access sensor: Remove the control panel or interior cover to reach the humidity sensor. Inspect for contamination or damage.
Reseat connector: Ensure the sensor harness is firmly connected at both the sensor and the control board.
Replace sensor: If E2 persists, replace the Viking humidity sensor with the correct part.
Control board: If a new sensor does not resolve E2, the main control board may need replacement.

Microwave shows E2 and may not heat or may stop mid-cycle, often on sensor cook modes.
