How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the microwave before accessing the underside or motor.
- Check settings: Some Viking models allow disabling the turntable. Verify that the turntable function is turned ON in the settings.
- Inspect tray and ring: Remove the glass tray and roller ring. Clean both and the cavity floor. Ensure the ring rolls smoothly.
- Check coupler: Inspect the plastic coupler that fits over the motor shaft for cracks or wear. Replace if damaged.
- Access motor: Remove the bottom panel to access the turntable motor. Check wiring and mounting screws.
- Replace motor: If the motor does not run when commanded (testing recommended for professionals), replace the Viking turntable motor.
