How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety note: A mild odor is common for a new microwave, but strong or persistent smells should be investigated.

User-level steps:

  • 1. Remove all packaging: Ensure all plastic films, cardboard spacers, and manuals are removed from inside and outside.
  • 2. Clean interior: Wipe the cavity with a mixture of water and mild detergent, then with clean water.
  • 3. Burn-in cycle: Place a large bowl of water with lemon slices inside and run on HIGH for 5–10 minutes. Ventilate the area.

If the smell resembles burning plastic or wiring and does not diminish after several uses, unplug and have the unit inspected.
