Over-the-range microwave surface lights under the unit do not work or flicker

Safety: Turn off power and allow bulbs to cool before handling.

• Replace bulbs: Remove and replace the cooktop bulbs with the correct Whirlpool-specified type and wattage.
• Inspect sockets: Check for heat damage, discoloration, or loose contacts. Replace damaged sockets.
• Check dimming feature: If the lights flicker only on low setting, the dimming circuit or relay on the control board may be failing.
• Secure wiring: Ensure all light circuit wires are firmly connected and not pinched.
