Possible Causes
Open or shorted cavity temperature sensor, Damaged sensor wiring harness, Faulty connection on control board, Failed NTC on grill/convection heater
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the microwave and allow it to cool completely.
- Locate the temperature sensor: On Zanussi combination microwaves, the NTC sensor is usually mounted in the oven cavity wall or near the grill/convection element.
- Inspect wiring: Check the sensor leads and connector for damage, burning, or disconnection. Reseat the connector on the control board.
- Test the sensor: With a multimeter, measure the resistance of the NTC at room temperature and compare with service manual values. A reading of near 0 Ω (short) or infinite (open) indicates a faulty sensor.
- Replace faulty sensor: Remove mounting screws or clips and install a new Zanussi-compatible temperature sensor, routing wires as originally installed.
- Clear error: Reassemble, plug in, and run a short convection or grill cycle to confirm E06 is cleared.
