Possible Causes
Blocked pressure release path, Stuck float valve, Excessive foaming food (e.g. porridge, beans) blocking anti-block shield, Faulty safety valve
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow the cooker to release pressure completely and cool down. Unplug before disassembling any parts.
- Clean anti-block shield: Remove the anti-block shield from the underside of the lid and clean all small holes and channels thoroughly.
- Inspect float valve movement: Ensure the float valve can move freely up and down. Clean any dried food or starch buildup and replace the silicone cap if it is sticky or deformed.
- Check safety valve: Inspect the safety valve (often a separate metal or silicone plug) for signs of deformation or blockage. Replace if it appears damaged.
- Avoid overfilling: For foaming foods, do not fill above the recommended maximum line and consider using a lower pressure or a different program.
- Test with non-foaming load: Run a pressure cycle with water only. If E11 recurs, the pressure control system or safety valve assembly may be faulty and should be replaced.
