How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the appliance from mains before removing the control panel.
- Power reset: Unplug for 10–15 minutes, then reconnect to see if the error clears.
- Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the front panel and check the flat ribbon cable from the keypad/touch panel to the control PCB. Reseat both ends and ensure there are no visible cracks or kinks.
- Check for physical damage: Look for cracks in the glass or plastic touch surface, or delamination of the keypad membrane. Replace the keypad/touch panel if damaged.
- Test key response: After reassembly, test each button. If some keys remain unresponsive or E14 returns, replace the entire control panel assembly.
- Firmware reset (if available): Perform a factory reset according to AEG service instructions to clear any stored keypad error states.
