Possible Causes

Open or shorted bottom NTC temperature sensor, Sensor wiring harness damaged, Sensor connector loose on main control board, Failed main control board temperature input

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the cooker and let it cool completely before touching internal areas.

  • Check for obvious damage: Remove the inner pot and inspect the exposed metal plate and sensor area at the bottom of the cooking chamber. Look for burnt spots, melted plastic, or loose pieces.
  • Clean sensor area: If there is heavy residue or burnt-on food on the bottom plate, gently clean it with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Do not scratch or pry at the sensor.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the cooker is on a flat, heat-resistant surface with at least several inches of clearance around it so it can cool properly between uses.
  • Power reset: After cleaning and cooling, plug the unit back in, select a low-temperature program (e.g., keep warm) and see if E2 reappears.
  • Advanced inspection: If you are comfortable and the warranty has expired, remove the bottom cover (after unplugging) to visually inspect the temperature sensor wiring harness from the heater plate to the control board. Look for broken insulation, burnt connectors, or loose plugs. Do not operate the unit with the cover removed.

If E2 returns, the NTC sensor or control board is likely defective and should be tested and replaced by a professional.
