Possible Causes

Open-circuit main heating element under inner pot, Burnt wiring to heater, Failed triac or relay on main control board, Overheated or blown thermal fuse in heater circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the unit. Do not attempt to bypass safety devices such as thermal fuses.

  • Visual inspection: Remove the inner pot and inspect the heater plate for discoloration, warping, or burn marks. Any visible damage suggests internal failure.
  • Check for smells: A strong burnt electronics smell from the base often indicates a failed heater or control board.
  • Power reset: After cooling, plug in and try a low-heat program (e.g., keep warm). If E6 appears immediately and there is no heat, discontinue use.
  • Advanced (out of warranty): With the unit unplugged, remove the bottom cover to inspect the heater wiring harness and connectors. Look for burnt terminals, loose spade connectors, or broken wires. Do not operate the cooker with the cover removed.

Because the heater circuit carries mains voltage and high current, diagnosis and replacement of the heating element or control board should be done by a qualified technician.
