Possible Causes

Insufficient liquid, Steam leaking from lid gasket, Steam release valve not in sealing position, Faulty pressure sensor reading low pressure

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Cancel the program and allow any built-up steam to vent before opening the lid.

  • Check liquid level: Open the lid and verify there is at least the minimum required liquid. Add more if needed.
  • Inspect gasket and lid: Ensure the silicone gasket is properly seated and undamaged. Clean the lid rim and cooker rim.
  • Set valve to sealing: Confirm the steam release valve is in the Sealing position.
  • Look for steam leaks: Restart with water only and watch for continuous steam escaping around the lid or valve. Persistent leaks indicate a sealing problem.

If the unit consistently times out on preheat with proper sealing and liquid, the pressure sensor or control logic may be faulty and should be serviced.
