Lid Mechanism Binding / Residual Pressure
Lid is very difficult to open after cooking, even after pressure seems released.

Possible Causes
Float valve not fully dropping due to residue, Lid lock mechanism sticking, Slight residual pressure from blocked vent, Warped lid ring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Never force the lid open. Ensure all pressure is released before attempting to open.
- Check float valve: Confirm the float valve has dropped fully. If not, gently tap it with a utensil after ensuring the steam valve is in Venting position.
- Wait longer: Allow additional time for residual pressure to dissipate, especially with thick foods.
- Clean lid lock: Once open and cool, clean the lid lock and surrounding area to remove any sticky residue.
If the lid continues to bind or feels unsafe to operate, have the lid lock assembly inspected and serviced.
