Loud hissing or whistling from the steam release area even when set to sealing.

Safety first: Keep clear of the steam path. Allow the cooker to depressurize before disassembly.

• Inspect valve position: Confirm the valve is fully turned or set to the Sealing position.
• Clean valve seat: After cooling, remove the valve and clean the seat area on the lid. Remove any residue.
• Check silicone parts: Inspect any silicone seals or gaskets in the valve for cracks or hardening. Replace if needed.

If hissing continues with a clean, correctly assembled valve, replace the steam release valve assembly.
