Possible Causes
Bottom NTC sensor out of calibration, Poor contact between inner pot and heater plate, Warped inner pot, Control board misreading sensor values
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Use oven mitts when handling the hot inner pot.
- Check pot contact: Ensure the inner pot sits flat on the heater plate with no rocking. If it wobbles, the pot may be warped and should be replaced.
- Clean contact surfaces: Wipe the bottom of the inner pot and the heater plate to remove grease or residue that can create hot spots.
- Use appropriate settings: For thick dishes, use lower temperature or slow cook modes and stir periodically if the recipe allows.
If burning occurs even on low settings with a good pot, the temperature sensor or control board may be faulty and require service.
