How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Immediately press Cancel, unplug the cooker, and if safe, remove it from the outlet area. Do not inhale smoke directly.

  • Ventilate: Open windows and allow smoke to clear.
  • Inspect inner pot and heater: Once cool, remove the inner pot and check for burnt food. Clean the pot and heater plate thoroughly.
  • Check underside: Look for signs of melting or burn marks on the bottom or sides of the cooker.

If the burning smell persists with a clean pot and heater, or if you see melted plastic or scorch marks, discontinue use and have the unit professionally inspected.
