Possible Causes
Shorted NTC sensor, Melted sensor insulation contacting metal chassis, Moisture ingress in sensor connector, Failed main control board sensor circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect the multicooker from mains and let it cool fully before inspection.
- Visual inspection: Remove the inner pot and bottom cover. Locate the bottom NTC sensor on the underside of the heating plate. Look for melted plastic, discoloration, or signs of overheating around the sensor.
- Check for shorts: Ensure the sensor leads are not touching the metal chassis or each other where insulation has worn off. If insulation is damaged, the sensor should be replaced.
- Dry moisture: If there are signs of liquid or condensation near the sensor or connector, dry thoroughly with a lint-free cloth and allow several hours of air-drying before reassembly.
- Measure resistance: Using a multimeter, check the NTC resistance at room temperature. A reading near 0Ω indicates a shorted sensor. Replace the sensor if shorted.
- Control board check: If the sensor measures within normal range but E2 persists, the main control PCB may be misreading the sensor and will likely need replacement.
