Possible Causes
Blocked pressure release valve, Stuck float valve, Failed electronic pressure sensor on main board, Kinked pressure sensor tube (on models with remote sensor)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the cooker and allow it to fully depressurize. Never attempt to open the lid while under pressure.
- Clean pressure components: Remove the steam release valve cap, float valve, and anti-block shield (if present). Clean all parts with warm soapy water and ensure all steam passages are clear.
- Check float valve movement: Verify that the float valve moves freely up and down and is not obstructed by dried food or scale.
- Inspect pressure sensor tube: On some Ambiano models, a small silicone tube connects the inner lid area to a pressure sensor on the PCB. Ensure this tube is not kinked, blocked, or cracked.
- Electronic sensor check: If mechanical parts are clean and moving freely but E5 persists, the electronic pressure sensor may be faulty. This sensor is often integrated on the main control board and may require board replacement.
- Test with water: Reassemble all parts, add at least 2 cups of water, and run a short pressure cycle to confirm normal operation.
