• Check lid closure: Open and close the lid several times, ensuring it aligns with the body and the handle fully rotates to the locked position.
• Clean lock area: Inspect the lid lock slot and surrounding area for rice, beans, or other debris. Clean with a small brush and damp cloth.
• Test lock switch: With the unit unplugged, locate the lid lock microswitch inside the top housing or near the handle. Manually actuate the lock and listen for a distinct click from the switch.
• Adjust or replace: If the switch does not click or the actuator does not reach it, adjust the lock mechanism if possible or replace the lid lock assembly/microswitch.
• Confirm operation: Reassemble and test by starting a non-pressure program first, then a short pressure program with water.
