• Verify sealing: Ensure the silicone sealing ring is in good condition and the lid locks properly. Poor sealing reduces effective cooking temperature.
• Check pressure build: Confirm that the float valve rises and the unit reaches full pressure (no continuous venting). If not, address pressure leaks first.
• Test heating: Add 2 cups of water and run a high-pressure or high-heat program. Time how long it takes to reach a vigorous boil. Excessive time may indicate a weak element.
• Inspect element and sensors: From the base, test the heating element resistance and inspect the bottom NTC sensor. Replace any components that are out of specification.
• Adjust recipes: Until repairs are made, increase cooking times slightly, but do not exceed safe fill levels.
