Possible Causes
Use of metal utensils, Abrasive cleaning pads, Overheating empty pot, Low-quality or aged nonstick layer
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Discontinue use of a severely damaged nonstick pot to avoid ingesting flakes.
- Inspect coating: Remove the pot and examine the entire interior surface under good light. Look for peeling, bubbling, or deep scratches.
- Replace inner pot: If damage is present, replace the inner pot with an Ambiano-compatible replacement. Do not attempt to repair nonstick coatings.
- Use proper utensils: Use only silicone, wooden, or plastic utensils in the new pot and avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Avoid dry heating: Do not preheat the pot empty on high settings, as this accelerates coating failure.
