Possible Causes
Failed pot sensor switch under heating plate, Bent pot support springs, Deformed inner pot base, Disconnected pot sensor wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the cooker and allow it to cool before accessing the base.
- Check pot fit: Insert the inner pot and press down gently. It should sit flat and make full contact with the heating plate.
- Inspect pot base: Look for warping or dents on the bottom of the pot. Replace the inner pot if it does not sit flat.
- Access pot sensor: Remove the base cover and locate the pot presence switch or pressure pad under the heating plate. Ensure it is not jammed or obstructed.
- Test switch: Use a multimeter to check continuity when the switch is pressed. Replace the pot sensor switch if it does not change state.
- Check wiring: Verify the sensor’s wiring harness is securely connected to the main control board.
