Possible Causes
Residue from manufacturing oils, Food trapped under sealing ring or lid components, Degraded silicone ring, Overheated plastic components
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug and cool the unit before deep cleaning.
- Initial burn-in: Run several cycles with water and a few tablespoons of white vinegar on a steam or pressure setting to remove manufacturing residues.
- Deep clean lid: Remove the sealing ring, anti-block shield, steam release valve, and float valve. Clean all parts thoroughly with warm soapy water and rinse well.
- Replace sealing ring: If the silicone ring retains strong odors or appears discolored, replace it with a new Ambiano-compatible ring.
- Inspect plastics: Check for discolored or warped plastic parts near the heating area. Replace any components that show signs of overheating.
