Possible Causes
Moisture under keypad overlay, Worn membrane contacts, Loose ribbon cable between keypad and control board, Cracked control panel PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker before working on the control panel.
- Clean the surface: Wipe the keypad with a slightly damp cloth and then dry. Do not use excessive liquid.
- Power reset: Unplug for 5 minutes and plug back in to rule out software lockup.
- Inspect ribbon cable: If accessible, remove the front panel and reseat the flat cable connecting the keypad to the control board.
- Check for moisture damage: Look for signs of water ingress behind the panel. Allow to dry completely if damp.
- Replace keypad assembly: If specific buttons never respond, the membrane is likely worn and the entire control panel overlay or keypad PCB should be replaced.
