Possible Causes
Incorrect sensor reading at startup, Sensor out of calibration, Control board firmware fault for specific mode, Residual heat from previous cycle causing out-of-range reading
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker and allow it to cool to room temperature before retrying.
- Let the unit cool: If E12 appears immediately after a high-heat cycle, wait 20–30 minutes and try again. Some modes require a cool start.
- Power reset: Unplug the cooker for 5 minutes to reset the control board, then plug back in and reselect the mode.
- Check sensor cleanliness: Remove the inner pot and gently wipe the bottom sensor area and lid sensor area to ensure no residue is affecting readings.
- If E12 persists on one mode only: The control board may have a firmware or calibration issue. Replacement of the main control board is usually required.
