Possible Causes

Unplugged or broken NTC sensor lead, Failed NTC thermistor, Damaged wiring harness between sensor and control board, Corroded sensor connector on control PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the cooker and allow it to cool completely before opening any panels.

  • Inspect the inner pot and base: Remove the inner pot and check the central heating plate area. Make sure there is no burnt residue or liquid that may have seeped into the sensor area.
  • Access the bottom sensor: Turn the unit upside down on a soft cloth. Remove the bottom cover screws to expose the heating plate and wiring. Locate the small probe or disc-type sensor (NTC) attached near the center of the heating plate.
  • Check wiring connections: Ensure the sensor wires are firmly plugged into the connector and not pinched or broken. Reseat the connector to the control board if accessible.
  • Visual inspection of the sensor: Look for burn marks, cracks, or detached mounting. A sensor that has separated from the plate or is visibly damaged must be replaced.
  • Replace the NTC sensor if open: If you have a multimeter and are qualified, test the sensor for continuity/resistance. An open circuit indicates failure. Replace with a compatible Bella bottom temperature sensor (NTC) and reassemble the base.
