Possible Causes

Blocked pressure sensor port, Failed pressure transducer, Loose pressure sensor connector on control board, Damaged silicone tubing between pot and sensor (if used)

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the cooker and ensure there is no pressure inside before disassembling anything related to the pressure system.

  • Clean the pressure sensor port: Locate the small hole or channel inside the lid or upper housing that leads to the pressure sensor. Use a thin, non-metallic tool (like a wooden toothpick) to gently clear any food residue.
  • Inspect silicone tubing (if present): Some Bella multicookers use a short silicone tube between the lid and the pressure sensor. Check for kinks, blockages, or cracks. Replace if hardened or damaged.
  • Check sensor connector: With the unit unplugged and top cover removed (if you are qualified to do so), ensure the pressure sensor plug is firmly seated on the control board.
  • Test with water only: Add 2–3 cups of water, close the lid, and select a short pressure program. If E5 appears before pressure builds, the sensor or board is likely faulty.
  • Replace pressure sensor: If cleaning and tubing inspection do not resolve the issue, replace the pressure sensor module with a compatible Bella pressure sensor assembly.
