Possible Causes

Inner pot and heating plate still above safe start temperature, Recently completed high-heat or sauté cycle, Faulty temperature sensor reading too high at idle

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Do not attempt to cool the cooker with water or by placing it outdoors in extreme temperatures.

  • Allow natural cooling: Open the lid (if safe and depressurized) and remove the inner pot. Let the cooker sit unplugged for 20–30 minutes.
  • Improve airflow: Place the cooker on a heat-resistant surface with good ventilation around it while it cools.
  • Clean sensor area: Once cool, wipe the heating plate and underside of the inner pot to remove residue that may retain heat.
  • If 'HOT' appears when unit is cold: The bottom temperature sensor may be faulty or shorted. Inspect and replace the NTC sensor as needed.
