Possible Causes

Shorted NTC thermistor on heater plate, Moisture or liquid intrusion at sensor connector, Shorted sensor harness to chassis

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power and let the cooker cool fully. Do not attempt to cook while an E2 error is present.

  • Dry the unit: If there was a recent spill or boil-over, remove the inner pot and thoroughly dry the heater plate and surrounding area. Leave the lid open and let the unit air-dry for several hours.
  • Inspect for residue: Look for burnt-on food or sticky residue around the center sensor button on the heater plate. Clean gently with a slightly damp cloth, then dry completely.
  • Check underside for moisture (advanced): With the unit unplugged, remove the bottom cover. Look for signs of moisture, corrosion, or burnt marks around the sensor wiring and connector on the main PCB. Dry carefully and avoid bending components.
  • Test after drying: Reassemble, plug in, and test with a simple program. If E2 persists, the sensor is likely shorted internally.
  • Do not bypass: Never bypass or short the sensor to clear the error; this can cause overheating and fire risk. Replace the sensor or heater plate assembly instead.
