Possible Causes
Normal relay switching amplified by loose panels, Warped inner pot causing popping, Loose screws on heater plate or chassis, Failing relay on main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker before tightening any screws or opening covers.
- Differentiate normal vs abnormal: Occasional soft clicks from relays are normal. Loud, continuous buzzing or arcing sounds are not.
- Check pot fit: Ensure the inner pot sits flat and does not rock. Replace if warped.
- Tighten screws: With the unit unplugged, tighten accessible screws on the base and around the heater plate to reduce vibration.
- Inspect for arcing (advanced): Remove the bottom cover and look for sparks or burn marks around the relay and heater connections while briefly powered (only if you are trained and extremely cautious). If present, discontinue use and replace the main board.
