• Check fill level: Ensure the inner pot is not filled above the MAX line, especially with foods that expand (rice, beans).
• Reinstall gasket: Remove the gasket and reinstall it evenly around the lid, ensuring it is not twisted.
• Clean rim: Wipe the rim of the pot and the lid sealing surface to remove food or oil.
• Replace gasket: If the gasket is loose, cracked, or permanently deformed, replace it with a Black+Decker-compatible lid gasket.
