Possible Causes
Shorted NTC sensor, Sensor wires pinched against metal chassis, Moisture ingress into sensor connector, Faulty main control board interpreting sensor signal
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect from mains and allow the cooker to cool fully.
- Check for overheating signs: Inspect the inner pot and heating plate for burnt-on food or discoloration. Heavy burnt residue can cause localized overheating; clean thoroughly.
- Dry the unit: If liquid has boiled over into the base, moisture may be shorting the sensor. Remove the inner pot, wipe any visible moisture, and let the cooker air-dry for 24 hours in a warm, dry place before retrying.
- Inspect sensor wiring: With the bottom cover removed (unplugged), check that the sensor wires are not crushed or stripped where they pass through metal openings. Reposition and insulate with high-temperature tape if needed.
- Test after cleaning/drying: Reassemble and run a low-temperature program (e.g., keep warm) to see if E2 reappears.
- Component replacement: If E2 persists, the NTC sensor or main PCB may be defective. Start by replacing the NTC sensor; if that does not resolve it, the control board likely needs professional replacement.
