Possible Causes
Loose inner lid plate screws, Damaged lid gasket, Cracked lid housing, Blocked internal steam channels forcing leaks elsewhere
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Keep hands away from escaping steam. Turn off and unplug the cooker, then wait until fully depressurized.
- Tighten inner lid plate: Remove the inner lid plate and check its screws or clips. Tighten gently if loose.
- Inspect lid gasket: Some Bosch lids have additional gaskets around the inner plate. Replace any that are flattened or cracked.
- Clean steam paths: Ensure the main steam outlet and anti-block shield are clean so steam exits where intended.
- Check for cracks: Examine the plastic lid housing for hairline cracks. Replace the lid assembly if damaged.
