Safety first: Never attempt to force the valve while the cooker is under pressure. Unplug and allow full depressurization first.

• Remove valve: Once cool and depressurized, remove the steam release valve according to the manual.
• Soak and clean: Soak the valve in warm soapy water, then scrub gently with a soft brush to remove buildup.
• Descale if needed: For mineral deposits, soak in a vinegar solution, then rinse thoroughly.
• Inspect for damage: Replace the valve if it is cracked, warped, or still difficult to operate after cleaning.
