Possible Causes

Open-circuit main heating element under inner pot, Burned thermal fuse in heater circuit, Loose heater connector on control PCB, Broken wiring harness to heater

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the cooker and allow it to cool. Internal heater circuits carry mains voltage; do not touch exposed wiring.

  • Check for intermittent operation: Try gently moving the cooker while it is off (unplugged) and then plug in and start a short program. If it sometimes heats and sometimes shows E7, a loose connector is likely.
  • Listen for relay click: When starting a program, you should hear a faint click from inside (heater relay). If there is no click at all, the control board may not be energizing the heater.
  • Visual inspection (advanced): If you are experienced and the warranty has expired, you may remove the bottom cover to inspect the heater connectors. Ensure the spade terminals on the heating element are firmly attached and not burnt.
  • Do not bypass safety devices: Never short or bypass the thermal fuse or thermostat to "test" the heater. This is dangerous and can cause fire.
  • Service recommendation: A failed heating element or thermal fuse requires part replacement and proper insulation checks. Contact a Brock service technician.
