Possible Causes
Blocked ventilation openings, Internal fan (if equipped) not working, Thermal fuse partially failing, Excessive ambient temperature around cooker
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker and allow it to cool for at least 30 minutes before further use.
- Improve ventilation: Move the Brock multicooker to an open, flat surface. Ensure at least 10 cm clearance on all sides and above. Do not operate under low cabinets where heat can accumulate.
- Clean external vents: Use a soft brush or vacuum to remove dust from side and bottom ventilation slots.
- Avoid covering the lid: Do not place towels or covers over the lid while cooking, as this traps heat and can trigger overheat protection.
- Test with a short program: After cooling, run a short low-temperature program. If E9 appears quickly, the internal thermal fuse or thermostat may be degraded and tripping prematurely.
- Service requirement: Replacing a thermal fuse or internal fan (if present) requires opening the housing and working near mains wiring. Contact an authorized Brock service center.
