Possible Causes
Inner pot missing, Deformed inner pot bottom not contacting sensor, Stuck pot presence switch, Broken pot detection microswitch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker before inspecting the pot area.
- Install inner pot: Ensure the original Brock inner pot is in place. Third-party pots may not fit the sensor correctly.
- Check pot bottom: Inspect the bottom of the inner pot for warping or dents. A warped pot may not press the center sensor properly and should be replaced.
- Clean sensor disc: Remove any debris from the central sensor disc or spring-loaded button in the base. It should move slightly when pressed.
- Press test: With the unit unplugged and pot removed, gently press the sensor disc. It should move down and spring back. If it is stuck, carefully clean around it with a soft brush.
- Service note: If POT remains even with a correct pot and clean sensor, the pot detection switch or its wiring may be defective and needs professional replacement.
