Possible Causes
Food residue around float valve, Swollen or damaged float valve silicone seal, Mineral deposits from hard water, Bent float valve pin
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Never force the float valve down while the cooker may still be under pressure.
- After cooling, clean valve: Remove the float valve cap and silicone seal (if removable). Clean all parts and the valve channel with warm soapy water, then rinse and dry.
- Check seal condition: Inspect the small silicone ring on the float for cracks or swelling. Replace if damaged.
- Descale: If you see white mineral deposits, soak the parts in a vinegar solution, then rinse.
- Test movement: Reassemble and press the float up and down from inside the lid to ensure smooth movement.
