Loud hissing, whistling, or rattling noises from the steam release valve during pressure cooking.

Safety first: Keep clear of the steam path. Do not cover the valve. Allow the cooker to finish or carefully perform a quick release as per the manual.

• After cooling, clean valve: Remove the steam release valve cap and anti-block shield. Wash them thoroughly and clear any food particles.
• Reinstall correctly: Ensure the valve cap is fully seated and oriented as indicated on the lid.
• Adjust recipes: For very foamy foods, reduce quantity, add oil, or use a non-pressure program.
• Monitor next cook: If rattling persists even with clean components and normal recipes, the valve spring or seat may be worn and the valve assembly should be replaced.
