Possible Causes
Overfilled inner pot, Missing or clogged condensation collector, Damaged inner pot coating causing boil-overs, Lid not fully closed
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker before cleaning spilled liquids. Avoid getting water into the power socket or base.
- Check fill level: Ensure food and liquid do not exceed the MAX line inside the inner pot, and for pressure cooking, follow Brock's reduced maximum for foamy foods.
- Inspect condensation collector: Many Brock models have a removable plastic condensation cup on the side or back. Remove, empty, clean, and reinstall it correctly.
- Clean lid and gasket: Wipe the underside of the lid and the sealing ring to remove excess moisture and food residue.
- Check for boil-overs: If cooking starchy foods (rice, porridge), reduce quantity or add a bit of oil to reduce foaming.
- Inspect base: If liquid appears to come from the bottom housing, internal seals may be compromised. Stop using the cooker and have it inspected by a technician.
