Possible Causes
Loose or unplugged bottom NTC sensor connector, Broken NTC sensor lead, Failed NTC thermistor, Damaged main control board sensor input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the Cosori multicooker and let it cool completely before opening anything. Never work on the unit while it is connected to power.
- Power reset: Unplug the cooker for 10 minutes, then plug it back in and try again. Sometimes E1 can be triggered by a transient fault.
- Check for obvious damage: Inspect the underside and interior for burn marks, melted plastic, or signs of liquid intrusion that may have affected the sensor wiring.
- Access the bottom sensor: Remove the inner pot, turn the cooker upside down on a soft cloth, and remove the bottom cover screws (if accessible on your model). Locate the bottom NTC sensor clipped to the underside of the inner heating plate or mounted near the center.
- Inspect wiring and connector: Ensure the small 2‑wire harness from the NTC sensor is firmly plugged into the main control board. Reseat the connector by unplugging and plugging it back in. Look for broken or pinched wires.
- Check sensor resistance (advanced): With a multimeter set to kΩ, measure resistance across the NTC leads (with the unit unplugged). Typical room‑temperature NTCs read between 50kΩ–100kΩ. An open (infinite) reading indicates a failed sensor.
- Replace the sensor if faulty: If the NTC is open or physically damaged, replace it with a compatible Cosori bottom NTC temperature sensor. Route the new sensor wiring exactly as the original to avoid pinching when reassembling.
- If error persists: If a known‑good sensor is installed and wiring is intact, the main control board’s sensor input may be defective. At this point, contact Cosori support or a qualified technician for control board replacement.
