Possible Causes

Shorted NTC sensor, Moisture or liquid bridging NTC terminals, Pinched or damaged sensor harness, Failed main control board sensor circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the multicooker and allow it to cool fully. Do not attempt to operate with an active E2 error.

  • Dry the cooker thoroughly: If there was a recent boil‑over or spill, remove the inner pot and wipe all accessible surfaces. Allow the cooker to air‑dry for several hours to clear any moisture around the sensor wiring.
  • Inspect the bottom sensor area: Remove the bottom cover (if user‑serviceable) and look for moisture, corrosion, or food residue around the NTC sensor and its connector. Clean gently with a dry cloth or cotton swab.
  • Check wiring for shorts: Look for pinched, melted, or exposed wires in the NTC harness that could be touching the metal chassis or each other. Repair or replace damaged wiring.
  • Test sensor resistance: With a multimeter, measure resistance across the NTC leads at room temperature. A reading near 0Ω indicates a shorted sensor. Replace the sensor if shorted.
  • Replace the NTC sensor: Install a new Cosori bottom NTC temperature sensor if the original is shorted or contaminated beyond cleaning. Ensure the sensor is firmly seated in its bracket and not touching bare metal except where designed.
  • Control board check: If a new sensor still results in E2, the main control board may be misreading the sensor. Contact Cosori or a professional technician for board diagnosis and replacement.
