Possible Causes
Loose pressure sensor connector on control board, Failed pressure transducer, Clogged pressure sensor tube, Damaged wiring harness
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker and ensure it is fully depressurized before opening the lid. Never work on the pressure system while the cooker is hot or under pressure.
- Power reset: Unplug for 10 minutes, then plug back in and try a simple water test. If E5 reappears immediately, proceed with inspection.
- Inspect pressure sensor tube: Many Cosori models use a small silicone or Teflon tube from the lid or steam chamber to a pressure sensor on the control board. Remove the lid and inner components, then check for blockages (starch, food, or scale) in the tube. Clean or replace if clogged.
- Check sensor connector: Remove the bottom cover and locate the pressure sensor module (small plastic block with 2–3 wires and a tube). Ensure its connector is firmly seated on the main board.
- Look for damage: Inspect the sensor body and tubing for cracks, burns, or signs of moisture intrusion. Replace any damaged parts.
- Replace pressure sensor: If cleaning and reseating do not resolve the error, install a new Cosori pressure sensor assembly with fresh tubing. Ensure airtight connections.
- Test with water: Reassemble, add 2–3 cups of water, and run a pressure program. If E5 persists, the main control board may not be reading the sensor correctly and may require professional replacement.
