Abnormal Pressure Rise / Pressure Leakage Detected
Display shows E8 and cooker cannot build or maintain pressure

Possible Causes
Damaged silicone sealing ring, Blocked float valve, Dirty or mis‑seated anti‑block shield, Steam release valve not in Sealing position, Faulty pressure sensor calibration
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow the cooker to cool and fully depressurize before disassembling any lid components.
- Check steam release handle: Ensure the steam release knob or lever is set to Sealing, not Venting.
- Inspect sealing ring: Remove the inner lid and take out the silicone sealing ring. Check for cracks, deformation, or food buildup. Clean thoroughly with warm soapy water and reinstall, ensuring it is fully seated in the groove.
- Clean float valve and anti‑block shield: Remove the anti‑block shield (metal cap) over the steam outlet and clean any starch or debris. Ensure the float valve moves freely up and down and is not stuck.
- Check for lid warping: Inspect the stainless inner lid and outer lid for warping or damage that could prevent a tight seal. Replace if visibly deformed.
- Run a water test: Add 2–3 cups of water, close the lid, set to a pressure program, and observe. If steam leaks continuously around the lid or from the valve, replace the Cosori silicone sealing ring and, if needed, the float valve and gasket set.
- Persistent E8: If mechanical sealing components are good but E8 continues, the pressure sensor may be misreading and require replacement or control board recalibration by a technician.
