Display shows OPEN or an open‑lid icon and unit refuses to build pressure

Safety first: Never attempt to override lid safety. If the cooker thinks the lid is open, do not force it to run under pressure.

• Check hinge and alignment: Inspect the lid hinge screws for looseness. Tighten gently so the lid sits squarely on the body.
• Inspect gasket and inner lid: A mis‑seated sealing ring or inner lid can prevent full closure. Remove, clean, and reinstall both components.
• Test on non‑pressure mode: Try a sauté or slow cook mode. If OPEN still appears, the lid sensor circuit is likely faulty.
• Inspect and replace sensor: Access the lid sensor (reed switch or microswitch) and verify that the lid magnet/actuator aligns correctly. Replace the Cosori lid sensor assembly if defective.
• Control board check: If the sensor and alignment are correct but the error persists, the main control board input may be damaged and require replacement.
